Katie grew up in New Jersey and first moved to Washington as a student. She earned her BA in history from American University in 2000 and decided to make DC her home, having fallen in love with the area and all that it has to offer. After working for a short time at National Geographic, Katie obtained her real estate license in 2002 and had the amazing opportunity to work beside and learn from one of the area’s top producing real estate agents. Over the next 11 years, she was instrumental in all aspects of management, marketing, and sales as that business grew into one of Long & Foster’s top teams.
After a brief hiatus in London to marry her husband Anthony while continuing to manage the real estate marketing for her DC team, Katie returned to Washington and joined The Hersh Group of Long & Foster Real Estate in 2015 as a partner and full-time agent. Katie and her husband and two children now reside in Silver Spring and enjoy being active in the DMV community. A lifelong pianist and singer, she’s an enthusiastic concert-goer and supporter of the local arts. When not selling real estate, Katie enjoys coming up with new ways to feed her kids, kickboxing, playing clumsy tennis with her patient husband, learning about beekeeping, and planning their next travel adventure.
